Sizing of pictures in Events

If you have been having problems viewing the pictures in Events at the right size, try cleaning the cache (ie clearing history) and cookies. I contacted Ning and it worked for me. Thanks Ning support.

Clipper Round the World Race

Our very own Alison Purseglove aka Alison Ryan is on the crew of the Clipper "UNICEF". She has signed up to circumnavigate the globe. Unicef has completed the first leg and the crew are currently restocking in Punta Del Este, Uruguay. They set off again on 4 October across the South Atlantic to Cape Town.

Rare access granted to Longleat’s old deer park for Ancient Tree Forum walk

LONGLEAT isn’t just famous for its lions - it also boasts some of the grandest ancient oak trees in the British Isles. Sad news

I am sorry to have to tell you that Dorothy Young (who used to live in Highfield in Coombe Street) has just died; she passed away very peacefully.  She is to be cremated at Yeovil Crematorium (Bunford Lane, Yeovil BA20 2EJ) on Thursday 28th September at 1:20pm.

Pen Paper errors

I didn't get the paper proof read as I usually do and a couple of errors crept into the Village Diary.

The village walk is on TUESDAY 5 Sept and the Parish Council meeting is on WEDNESDAY 13 Sept. There's also another PC meeting on Wednesday 8 November.

Please amend your dairies. Any feedback is always welcome.
