BT broadband

There's lots of talking about high speed broadband - but nothing has changed here in Pen.

However I did think it worth sharing that following lots of complaining to BT and getting nowhere they offered me a cheap deal. I declined at first because I wanted a faster better service, but in the cold light of day I realised I wasn't going to get that for a while so I pushed for the the deal. They refused at first saying it was a limited offer at the time but on a second phone call they…

fatal injury

A few days ago a horse in a field near Long Lane became frightened , jumped out of the field and broke its neck falling in to Long lane.On the same afternoon another horse was badly cut in a wire fence. There is no proof, but the strong likelihood is that these horses were chased by dogs.If dogs are under proper control this sort of tragedy wont happen

Missing or Stray Dog

Does anyone know who might have lost a small black male dog? He has a short coat and relatively short legs. He's not wearing a collar and is reluctant to be caught. Two young girls came door to door to locate the owner after finding him on the Village Community Field this morning, 21 July. Robbie and Ian are working in the Village Hall and think perhaps he has been a round for a few days.
