Melville Family Funds supports two more local charities

As you know, the PCC uses the money left by Jill Melville to support local charities and has recently started to support two on a regular basis.

The first is the Growing Space in Wincanton.  The Growing Space uses an innovative approach through horticulture to help a wide range of people in our area who are experiencing a range of challenges and problems. Nick Truman the manager said:-

Bell ringing outing

On Friday 9th November, we had our third bell ringing outing.  We visited three different churches (South Cadbury, Maperton and Horsington) which while they were all 6 bell ground floor rings, were all rather different bells to ring.  Moving to a strange tower can be difficult but we achieved good standard of ringing in all three towers; including one where the bells were half muffled in preparation for Remembrance Sunday.  Half muffling sounds very good but the demands on the…
