The History Society is for everyone interested in the history of Pen Selwood.  We foster and promote the study and appreciation of local history by sharing what we each know about the past.

If you are interested in the original OS maps of Pen Selwood you can view them here. http://maps.nls.uk/index.html Just do a search on Penselwood.

And get a printed or digital copy for a modest cost.

I have been exploring the SANHS website to see what they had on Pen and one of their proceedings is 'BATES, E H, "Pen Selwood", vol. 50 (1904) pp. 50-67.' Their papers are generally interesting, but before summoning the energy to go to Taunton to look at it, I wondered if anybody else has seen it?
