Benjamin Franklin, statesman, diplomat, writer, important inventor and much more, lived in London for more than one-fifth of his life.  He dined with prime ministers, members of parliament, even kings. Member of the Royal Society and with an interesting mix of friends he was a long time loyal British royalist before contributing  to the upheaval of the War of Independence when he fled England never to return.

If you are interested in attending this open meeting, at Stourton Village Hall at 7.30pm, please let me know (841216) so I can advise numbers for seating and refreshment purposes.  Cost for non members is £5.00.  George will be bring and signing his books.
