The Spring Litter Pick was a great success and lots of villagers turned out to do their bit (see Photos Litter Pick Spring 2021). It was especially nice to see the very youngest villagers joining in and having some fun along the way. Despite being a bitterly cold morning with hail showers plenty of rubbish was removed from the hedgerows and verges.

The hotspot was no surprise with evidence of fly tipping on the road off the old A303. This has been reported to SSDC so hopefully the large quantity of dumped rubbish will be removed soon.

Victoria O'Brien very kindly supplied delicious cakes as a tasty reward for our Pickers. They were much appreciated by everyone. Thank you very much Victoria.

The most unusual find was by Karen and Malcolm:

Any ideas?!!

Hopefully we will organise another pick in the autumn and look forward to seeing you all again.
