There have been two recent incidents in Hadspen and Castle  Cary where sheds/garages/outbuildings have been broken into. The thieves are  working at night and are using a jemmy and bolt cutters to force doors and cut  padlocks. It would appear that they are looking for  power and garden tools and  other portable items that they can then sell on for cash. Please review your shed/garage security, especially if you are in a remote location, and ensure good quality padlocks and hasps are fitted. Your Neighbourhood Team are available to offer Crime Reduction advice and can be contacted on 101.
If  you have any information about suspicious incidents or activity please telephone  the police on 101.   Please remember to ask the call handler to mark, or tag,  your call `NHW' (Neighbourhood Watch).  NHW office 01823-363348
