I was thinking I might go along to the church war memorial at 7:30 am and blow a WW1 whistle three times to commemorate the start of the Battle of the Somme. If you're interested in coming along, post here.
Not yet - it was for 1 July for the centenary of the Battle of the Somme which began at 7:30 am and went on to cost a million lives in four months. As there has been no response, I shall, instead, go to a service of commemoration at the Chalke Valley History Festival on the same day. Means an early start.
