Time: October 16, 2014 from 2pm to 4pm
Location: Dommett Woods
City/Town: Buckland St Mary
Event Type: walk
Organized By: Dr Charles Hill
Latest Activity: Oct 15, 2014
Dr Charles Hill - Tree Warden for Buckland St Mary (up in the Blackdowns); cordially invites us to explore the fungi and trees in his local woods.
A location plan is attached & the car-parking area is easy to find, just off Folly Lane.
Charles assures me there will be tea & cake afterwards at his place.
If you have a query, or simply wish to let Charles know how much cake he needs to bake, give him a call (01460 234490), or e-mail charleshill1@gmail.com
Now that we have had a drop of rain, there should be plenty of fungi popping-up.
We will be discussing the role of fungi and their relationships with trees.
The site is sloped, so worth choosing footwear with good grip and perhaps a walking pole or stick.
The location is: Dommett Woods, Buckland St Mary (TA20 3TE for those with sat-navs)
The time is: - 2 pm on Thursday 16th October 2014
See you there,
Regards, Phil
