Yesterday at Bleak Farm a young breeding ewe was killed through the action of an irresponsible dog owner. As well as losing a young breeding ewe and her potential lamb it caused some distress.

The tree has been identified as being diseased and Highways want either to fell it or reduce it to a monolith.
Unfortunately Highways did not consult with the Parish Council and the work was almost carried out.
The Parish Council are now working to see what other options might be available to save this significant and historical tree.
In the meantime signs have been put on the tree to make sure no work is carried out before…

Most of the drivers in our villages are brilliant but there is always one or two impatient and reckless drivers with poor attitudes that can startle, unsettle and panic the horses.
Riders, Cyclists and Walkers are vulnerable road users and have as much right to be on the road as vehicles. Most do not want to be there but lack of bridleways makes being on the road a necessity.
