The Somerset flag will be flown May 8th-11th on the Village flag pole.
The date of May 11th has been traditionally celebrated in our county because it is thought to be the date of King Alfred the Great’s defeat of the Danes in the 878 Battle of Edington, which is also known as the Battle of Ethandun.

Seven, very different gardens in Pen Selwood are open to ticket holders. In addition there are two plants stalls and a garden bric a brac stall. Tickets £5.00 for the gardens. (Limited availability) No dogs.
Delicious cream teas and cakes available from the Village Hall from 3.00p.m.
