BRYAN JOHN YOUNG FUNERAL SERVICE

A Thanksgiving Service for Bryan will be held at St Michael's Church Pen Selwood on Thursday 23rd March at 2-30pm.

There will be time during the wake for anyone to stand up and say a few words or tell a short story.

The family have asked if anyone has any nice or amusing photographs of Bryan to lend.Can you please let Caroline have them before Wednesday 22nd. Please put your name on the back so that they can be returned.

Shaftesbury Hospital beds

Until 28th February 2017 we have a chance to object to the closure of beds in Shaftesbury Hospital and there is a on-line petition we can all sign if we do not want this to happen. South Somerset residents help shape the future of the census

South Somerset has been specially selected as part of a large scale test of the census, run by the Office for National Statistics (ONS).

Man cut free from overturned car after crash near A303 in Penselwood near Wincanton

Fire crews cut a man free from his car in Penselwood, near Wincanton, and he was taken to hospital in an ambulance.

driver was left trapped in his car after it crashed into a fence and flipped over.

Warning to Pet Owners

Our Vizslas Ruby and Bert are happily recovering from ingesting a large quantity of slug pellets spread round a badger path adjacent to Pits Farm in Pear Ash Lane Penselwood on Thursday 15th December.

The location of the slug pellets is indicated on the map below by the red kite mark and the foot path runs from Pear Ash Lane adjacent to Pits Farm south exiting in Chapel Lane. The exact location of the pellets is in the hedgerow which runs alongside the foot path on Pits…
