Our special commemorative Pen Pub evening held on Friday 7th October proved to be an appropriate way for villagers and members of the Bourton Players to remember Robin.  Many stories of people's friendship and memories of Robin filled the village hall from the moment the doors opened through to closing time; a true illustration of his reach and popularity.  All the takings from the bar and generous donations from Robin's many friends raised an incredible £500 for the village community field…

PEN SELWOOD FETE AND SHOW 2016 – PRELIMINARY RESULTS

(part of the Selwood Sports and Social Club)

Congratulations to everyone who helped our record breaking fete and show this year.  Income (and expenditure!) and surplus are higher than ever before and the White Elephant too passed its previous record.  And as well our fete and show remain a most enjoyable community based event.

I expect some late income and expenses will come to me in the next…

Please could you remember to put out your bottles for the fete stall ready for collection on Friday afternoon, 29 July. The alternative is to drop them off at Bruce & Jennifer Bower on Coombe Street. Thank you!

The Old Rectory

The mobile library will in future come stop outside the village hall from 10:15 to 10:30 every four weeks, just before the Black Bin Cafe.  The first time at the new place will be onAugust 12th. Do come and try the service out.

A saddled horse [coloured with white flash on nose] has been found on Pen Ridge at approx 6pm on 21 July without rider.

Enquire at Pen Ridge farm for horse, and check your riders are safe.
