I have received a report today of a dog being poisoned, possibly by cannabis, up on the ridge in one of the lay-bys near the gallops. The dog is being treated but very nearly died. The owner will inform the police.

Our very own Alison Purseglove aka Alison Ryan is on the crew of the Clipper "UNICEF". She has signed up to circumnavigate the globe. Unicef has completed the first leg and the crew are currently restocking in Punta Del Este, Uruguay. They set off again on 4 October across the South Atlantic to Cape Town.
