The mobile library will in future come stop outside the village hall from 10:15 to 10:30 every four weeks, just before the Black Bin Cafe. The first time at the new place will be onAugust 12th. Do come and try the service out.

A saddled horse [coloured with white flash on nose] has been found on Pen Ridge at approx 6pm on 21 July without rider.
Enquire at Pen Ridge farm for horse, and check your riders are safe.

After school on Friday I am driving all the way to Snowdonia with a small group of mad friends to take on the Welsh 3000s Challenge! After about 3 hours sleep we'll position to walk up Snowdon at first light before commencing a 'yomp' across all 15 x 3,000' high mountains in one daylight helping before walking off the mountains at the other end. Do we need to get together and request faster broadband connections?
FASTER broadband connections will not be automatically rolled out to isolated rural areas, the government has confirmed. Instead, rural homes and businesses will have to request connections – a process which could involve a four-year wait.

The result of the Referendum Debate amongst the local farming community, held last night (29 Apr) in Bourton Village Hall, was 49 for Remain and 28 for Leave. There were 12 abstentions.
