Observant readers of the June Pen Paper have spotted that nowhere in its pages does it give the date of the most important event this quarter, the Village Fete.  I have no idea how such a thing could happen.  #sacktheeditor

Work has started on repainting the telephone box in Bleak Street that houses the defibrillator.  Although at times there may be wet paint the defibrillator itself will still be continuously available if needed.

Wednesday 26th update.  It seems that Wessex Water is less certain that the leak is their water and not a spring, so they are going to retest.  Meantime roads are back to normal.  Not impressed by them at all.  Unnecessary disruption.  Thanks to Rick for chasing up the inefficient lot!
