Underhill and Wessex Water - update - ROAD OPEN- ALL OVER (for now?)

Wednesday 26th update.  It seems that Wessex Water is less certain that the leak is their water and not a spring, so they are going to retest.  Meantime roads are back to normal.  Not impressed by them at all.  Unnecessary disruption.  Thanks to Rick for chasing up the inefficient lot!

Wednesday 26th March.  Job cancelled (postponed), signs removed, road open.

Investigations by Wessex Water have determined that their water is leaking into an upper part of Underhill which may account for the greater amount of water than you might expect notwithstanding our weather.  They need to do more investigating which may involve closure(s) of Underhill.  I will try and give notice of this assuming they give us notice. Thanks to Rick who is helping with this.

Underhill will be closed to traffic from Tuesday 25th March until Friday 28th in order to repair a water main.  Diversions via Long Lane.

Tuesday 25th.  Nobody turned up to do any work today and the road closed and diversion signs have been set aside.  Right now Underhill is open.  Please spread the word.

Who knows if they'll turn up tomorrow?
