Does anyone know who might have lost a small black male dog? He has a short coat and relatively short legs. He's not wearing a collar and is reluctant to be caught. Two young girls came door to door to locate the owner after finding him on the Village Community Field this morning, 21 July. Robbie and Ian are working in the Village Hall and think perhaps he has been a round for a few days.

On a lovely recent May morning I happened to glance out of the bedroom window and saw a strange little creature on the bird feeder hanging from a nearby tree.   I opened the French windows, walked out and saw immediately that the tiny beast was covered with peachy-coloured fur, including its tail.  It was a dormouse.

I quickly fetched my camera and took some photos.  When I looked again some time later it had climbed back down and was busily eating the peanuts.    Twenty minutes later…

I've had a call to say a little black dog followed a jogger all the way to the pub at Stourhead. The jogger has left her number at the pub and taken the dog home to Wincanton rather than leave it roaming.

LOST DOG: We are looking for Lula - our ORANGE WORKING COCKER SPANIEL - she has been missing since Sunday evening 24th May 2015.  Last seen in Moldram's Ground.  If anyone has any information please call 01747 841 283.  Many thanks.

Elaine  and her family wish to thank you all for coming to the thanksgiving service to celebrate Frank's life. Also thank you to everyone who contributed to such a lovely banquet.

It's annual dementia week. You might find these five things interesting and informative.

Larry Skeats and friends gave us a fun evening and some very credible descriptions of some unlikely objects.  It raised over £300 of which about £250 is for church funds.

Thank you to Charles and Ros for organising a good evening out, which also raised money.
