Moldram's Ground

Our local nature reserve needs your help following years of neglect during Covid and the financial problems at the County Council who are now responsible for it.

If you haven't read the article in Pen Paper, or saw it and never followed up but would like to help, please contact me about either fundraising or helping the rangers with physical help. It is a small reserve but has a number of rare and endangered species which need our help to survive.

Illegal Raves in Penselwood - update from Parish Council

Dear Parishioner,

The village has suffered from illegal raves for a number of years, to the point where we are now seeking to obtain much more help to ensure that we put an end to this intrusion and violation of the enjoyment of our environment.

The most recent raves, held on the Gallops at Pen Ridge, were held on the 22nd and 23rd June and 27th and 28th July. Following the…

Work by Wessex Water this week...

We had a visit from Wessex Water's Distribution Manager earlier, to let us know about their planned work which will start around 8am tomorrow morning (6th August).  They need to repair a major mains leak in a field off Underhill.  They have told us because they are using our meter access, but I don't think they were planning to inform anyone else. "Everyone's" water will be cut off for 10 - 15 minutes and, for 22 households, including ours, drinking…
