Large white chicken with hint of brown, found today (Saturday 21st Feb) at around midday, wandering free at the bottom of Chapel Lane. Have tried various chicken owners in the vicinity, but not yet found the owner. Has anyone lost one?

The wood from the lime trees at the back of the church has now been logged up and is for sale. This money will go towards the costs of pollarding the trees. People are welcome to collect the logs, which are stacked on the South side of the Church. A wheel barrow is there and each load is £5. The Parish Council has arranged for representatives of the Devon and Somerset Broadband Partnership (known as Connecting Devon & Somerset) and a rep from BT to attend a meeting to discuss the position of Penselwood in the programme for updating to fibre-optic broadband.
