The sycamore tree

The sycamore tree has been a very large part of my life.

No 1 Sycamore cottages was our family home for fifty five years until my mother died twelve years ago.  We moved there from Chapel Lane in 1952 when I was thirteen years old.

Our children, grandchildren, nephews and nieces  all played football, cricket and many other games under the tree. Picnics on the lawn beneath its shady boughs where all the family gathered.
I do hope it can be saved and remain part of our beautiful village.
