APRIL FOOL!

Sorry, Just Joking! I thought it was time to raise morale and check that plenty of people were reading notices on the website.

Thanks for all your comments and emails, I enjoyed them. Please remember to stand at least 2 metres away when you throw something in my direction : )

Geoff

Given the increased number of people taking daily exercise and the need to maintain at least two metres distance from others, it is suggested that we instigate a CLOCKWISE ONLY rule around the Pear Ash Loop. Please do not overtake those in front of you and keep your distance.

Please make any objections, clarifications or questions below, or in writing to ourpenselwood@gmail.com before noon tomorrow (Wednesday) at which time the rule will be implemented.

And remember to wash your hands for 20 seconds when you get in.

Well done Geoff for the much needed humour  ;-)

I had been working out what way would be clockwise..... mmmmm..... but got too busy with other matters.    Good job I looked on here - I would have been obeying the rules once we got out for a walk!!!

Damn,  Ian has just put up a toll-gate.

Oh Bother!

I should have noticed the implementation date of Wednesday 1st April.

Take it with good humour, folks, we’ve all been fooled.

How clever to raise spirits in these difficult times.

Brilliant. Hats off to you from Alan!

In addition to my previous comment I would like to say that the introduction of such draconian, Dickensian and authoritarian rulings would be very foolish at this time. Rules of this type may be required and be more acceptable at a future date (bnA1)

What a fab idea Tony. If we made Underhill One Way Pen House would be so much quieter. I could come in to my property via Underhill and exit via our gates on the B3081 at Leigh Common

On reflection, I think we should expand this idea and apply it to all roads coming into the village. For example, all traffic entering the village must exit using a different route. A car, predestrian, bike, horse, tractor etc entering along Underhill, for example, must leave via Combe Street or via Gasper as Mr Jenkins suggests, and visa versa.

Please please please, could we make sure that the faster walkers are at the front. If the faster walkers lap the slower walkers could the slower walkers try and get off the loop by getting into or through a hedge.

Seriously people !! Really !!

Does this mean that if I want to walk to Pen Ridge, I have to come back via Gasper and Zeal’s!

Who has dreamt up this madness?

Please don’t introduce rules that you can’t enforce.

Yippee, another set of rules trumping common sense. May I ask who or what operates ourpenselwood@gmail.com? I am off to wash my hands of this.
