BT halts removal of landline phones

BT has plans to remove copper wire fed landlines and replace them with fibre optic cables and digital phones by 2025. In the recent storms some people were unable to call 999 and health alarms and burglar alarms would not function. They have delayed the roll-out while they resolve these issues. Check with BT if you have concerns.
