Wessex Internet have had plans for a community scheme in Pen Selwood confirmed by the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS), and can claim the £3000 vouchers for the SME’s and £500 residential vouchers.
This scheme will provide the option of Fibre to the Premises (FTTP) and is aimed at small businesses, though when the fibre is installed residential properties will be included and you will be able to apply for a voucher. When we have 26 business vouchers issued we will have a community meeting, the end of Jan is looking likely for this at the moment.
So far we have 13 issued vouchers, 6 requested and awaiting customer/DCMS to validate, and we are awaiting 14 order forms to be returned. So if you haven’t returned your order form please do so as soon as you can.
