Pen Selwood’s 68th Traditional Fete will go ahead whatever the weather!

Folk in Pen Selwood are very busy preparing for their family-friendly 68th Traditional Fete, which takes place on Saturday, 5 August, from 12 noon. Record donations have been received for many stalls this year, including the Toy Stall, Pre-loved Clothing and Books Stall, which has received several specialist and hardback music books.

Please note that the Fete will still go ahead should the weather prove inclement. Various marquees and gazebos will keep you dry whilst browsing the White Elephant and other stalls, searching the pre-loved clothing for that special something, choosing your drink in the Pen Pub tent, viewing the displays in St Michael’s church and Pen Teas will be operating from the Village Hall and a marquee.

All afternoon, free entertainment is provided for youngsters in the form of ever-popular Circus Skills. This year, the youngster also have their Toy tombola, a toy stall, and Face Painting. More tickets have been printed for this year’s Grand Draw after selling out for two years, so the prizes are attractive. So no one should miss out on the chance to win the £200 cash first prize, or maybe some boutique South African Wines, treats from Neal’s yard and many other tips which have been donated. Tickets are still only 50p each!
