The Mere branch of the Salisbury Association have booked the bells for a practice this evening. They will concentrate on minor methods. Minor methods involve all six bells changing places in the order in which they ring. Typically we ring doubles methods in our tower, where only the order of the smaller five bells changes and the tenor (or heaviest) bells always rings in sixth place. Ringing minor methods requires considerable experience and so the standard of the ringing should be very good and a treat to listen to.
