A meeting was held in the village hall for those interested in helping Ukrainian refugees. Several people were prepared to host refugees either for 6 months or more or for a couple of weeks holiday to give long term hosts a break.

It was recognised that the village without public transport or other amenities was not the obvious place for refugees to be placed and that it would be better if there was more than one family at a time so that they had the company of people speaking the same language and from a similar background. This suggests we should make an offer as a community.

It was agreed that a summary should be put together of the village resources which might be offered, which could then be presented to the District Council and Reset, the charity pairing refugees and hosts.
